For over two decades, Honga’s Lotus Petal has thrived as a dining establishment, adored by locals and touted by several national and Colorado publications. Founder, owner, and former head chef (who still moonlights occasionally), Honga Im, is an artist turned self-taught entrepreneur who built her business from the ground up with no prior experience in restaurants other than waiting tables and cooking elaborate dinners for friends. In 1987, she began her enterprise with a hippie food cart on main street and shortly thereafter, due to the cart’s grand reception, opened Honga’s Lotus Petal in its first main street location…a closet-sized space with a handful of employees. In the ensuing years, Honga’s countless loyal patrons have watched her nurture and grow the Lotus Petal, expanding her menu, graduating to larger locations, and heightening her positive presence in the community and beyond. Today, Honga’s Lotus Petal makes its home in the spacious, recently renovated historic Roma Building. peace

Honga’s Lotus Petal has been hailed by such magazines and newspapers as The New York Times, National Geographic Traveller, Outside, 5280, Powder, In-Style,and Ski magazine.
